The circular hike around Rosskopf (No. 24) in the Sterzing-Ratschings-Gossensass / Vipiteno-Racines-Colle Isarco hiking area is an exciting experience for adults, children and all outdoor lovers. The hike starts at the mountain station of Rosskopf/Monte Cavallo cable car (1860 m) and leads along trail no. 19 to the Rossy Park Mini-Zoo. From here we climb northwards to the Kastellacke biotope (1930 m), a small protected mountain lake. From up here the view sweeps over the South Tyrolean mountain scenery. Simply beautiful and breathtaking! A gentle downhill leads to the idyllic mountain village of Vallming/Vallminga (1814 m). The return route of this incredible hike in Sterzing- Ratsching-Gossensass / Vipiteno-Racines-Colle Isarco runs a little higher on the north side, across the northeast ridge of Rosskopf/Monte Cavallo (2001 m, highest point) to the Sterzinger Haus Hotel (1930 m). Follow path no. 24 and pass the Sternhütte hut (2030 m) to the top station of the Rosskopf/Monte Cavallo cable car.
